When an interior designer is also the owner of a hotel, the results are usually amazing. For guests it’s a chance to inhabit some seriously gorgeous interiors. For the designers, it’s an opportunity show off their style, without having the constraints of a client. At Edson Hill in Stowe, Vermont, owner and designer Susan Stacy of Gauthier Stacy has given a c.1940s inn a chic and cozy makeover. Set on 38-acres with cross country trails, and close by to Stowe’s downhill runs. Check out the pictures below:
The 40-seat restaurant just opened last month and serves updated takes on New England classics like venison stew and beer-battered haddock.
] The rooms are gorgeous with soothing palettes and pretty prints. Many of the rooms feature bathrooms with heated floors and deep soaking tubs in the bedroom, so you can go from a long hot soak to bed. Sounds like a perfect way to end a day of skiing.
