Celebrated British designer Jasper Conran has put his stamp on everything–women’s fashion, Waterford crystal, dinnerware, books, textiles, and now his own glamorous boutique hotel. L’Hotel Marrakech is set in a 19-century Riad with five suites that surround a lush courtyard garden. Inspired by 1930s design, the property features antique furniture, graphic textiles, lighting and art from Jasper’s own collection. With lots of white as a backdrop, high-gloss black doors and trim, and sculptural furniture–the rooms feel like a fresh, crisp update on Moroccan style. Lots of design ideas to crib here:
White/cream backdrop + the jolt of stripes is an easy way to make a space vibrant.
Love this fireplace with a moorish arch.
Uncluttered, airy spaces let intriguing pieces like inlay furniture and antiques with sculptural silhouettes steal the spotlight.
Crisp white canopy beds–you can get a similar look by using ceiling mounted rods and white linen fabric.
