I love the playful design of the Redbury South Beach. The new sister hotel to the glam SLS and the iconic Raleigh is the vision of Matthew Rolston and is chock full of clever design ideas. This little nook in the lobby that could inspire a library or living room. Built-ins painted black always look sophisticated, the color coordinated books however are way too hard to pull off in real life (unless you don’t read). The chesterfield sofa and tufted ottoman are classics. While the sculptural side tables and the purple carpet keep the space from taking itself too seriously. Love the herringbone wallpaper and the 1950s black and white photo. Here are some similar items to recreate the look at home. (more photos and design ideas below).

Steal These Stripes: Another great source of design inspiration are the bathrooms. Even if you don’t have the killer tub, the wide stripes are a fairly easy DIY with paint and will instantly add a dose of fun to the space. Here they are paired with square marble tiles, but wide stripes would be just as cool when paired with basic subway tile. You can also do them in any color combination.
AMAZING TILE: Recreate the look in a bathroom, pool house, kitchen, or mud room with Zulu Tiles from Popham Design
Teen Dream?: I feel like this space is totally inspiration city for a teen’s room. The fun, striped carpet has the added benefit of hiding the stains that are bound to happen. The gallery wall above the headboard provides a groovy focal point and can be done with personal art, framed pages of art books, or vintage art from the flea market. Love the graphic pillows.
