A few weeks back I went to a press dinner heralding The Peninsula Paris which opens this August (it is going to be really fabulous). The incredibly delicious dinner by chef Brandon Kida was held at Clement in at the Peninsula New York. Yabu Pushelberg designed Clement, and commissioned star lighting designer Lindsey Adelman to custom design a Branching Disc chandelier for the stairwell leading up to the restaurant. I thought the chandelier which features 33 porcelain shades and brushed bronze branches is one of the coolest, most gorgeous lights I’ve ever seen. (Would love to see it in a dark dining room) Adleman designs and crafts all of her organic meets contemporary lighting here in NYC alongside a team of 20 artisans.
