Swank Style at The Soho Beach House

The latest stateside spinoff of Soho House, the exclusive member’s only club with outposts in London, New York, and L.A, has launched in trendy South Beach. While Soho Beach House members get to enjoy the private beach club, screening room, and two pools, you can also gain access by staying as a hotel guest in the new 50 room property. It is definitely going to be the place to be seen this winter.

Designed by Vicky Charles who does all their properties, Soho Beach House adds an unexpected dose of  Brit cool to South Beach. The saturated colors, the dark woods, the leather furniture and the vintage accents, would all be right at home in London, but somehow when paired with the amazing ocean views, tile floors, and sisal carpets,  it totally works.

I picked two of my favorite rooms to give you the design breakdown:

Beachside Room Breakdown: There is so much to love in the room above starting with the stunning Brisa fabric by Christopher Farr on the tall headboard (a trend that I am seeing again and again) this one measures almost 7-feet high. The perfectly worn French leather club chairs are vintage.  I love the touch of upholstering the seat cushion in an earthy orange Belgian linen, here they used Calvin Fabrics’ Sablon Linen Octoberfest. The cool lamps are crafted from reclaimed oak and were scored on One King’s Lane. The layering of a sisal carpet over the cement tile floor from Ann Sacks, is a great way to add a bit of a beach vibe.

Bayside Room Breakdown: The incredible greeny/blue wall color is Farrow & Ball Dix Blue 82. The walnut bed was made custom by Colibri Home, but I also found similar styles at Restoration Hardware. The cement beams were part of the original 1940s structure and uncovered during the renovation. The Moroccan cement tiles are custom. The rugs are long wearing, but soft, Bora Bora Jute rugs from Merida in Sunrise.
