Chic Stripes at Le Toiny

Start with white linens and mosquito netting, neutral beige sofas and chairs, add in some stunning stripes, a few florals and a touch of toile, and you have the recipe for the cheerful rooms at Hotel Le Toiny in St. Barth’s.

The eye-catching striped fabrics hail from Le Toiles du Soleil, a 150-year old French fabric house with a retail shop in NYC. The fabrics come in cotton and durable Sunbrella versions too, perfect for seaside decorating.  I think the fabric in the room above is Collioure Rouge in Sunbrella. If you like the look, they also make adorable striped espadrilles, pillows, bags, and napkins.

Each of the 14 1-bedroom suites boasts its own private pool and sweeping views of the quieter side of St. Barth’s.

The hotel has one 3-bedroom suite pictured above. The pretty floral green curtains are from Kravet Toile de Jouy Fleuri.

The blue and brown stripe above is Saint Cyprien from Les Toiles du Soleil.

Wouldn’t it be heavenly to take in this view from this gorgeous Mahogany 4-poster bed?

A perfect image to counter a cold winter day!

Beautiful!! I’ve been to St. Barth’s several times. If you can survive the scary ride in, it’s a lovely place to relax and vacation. Will have to remember this chic spot if we ever go again.

I stumbled this way through Velvet and Linen which is one of the blogs I follow and I must say I LOVE your blog and the photos you take. I’m from the other side of the world and am thrilled to be able to see the interiors of fabulous hotels which might take me eons of years to visit (too many places, too little time..). I’m happy to follow your blog… and thanks for sharing!

  3. love your concept & blog! I will be sure to spread the word. xo Laura
